The MyrtleBeach.com fan page (Facebook.com/myrtlebeach) offers travel advice, news and information, hotel deals and more for locals and visitors.
“We are happy to be reaching so many potential – and repeat – Myrtle Beach visitors,” said Ashlee Morrow Carson, the community manager for the page. “People love Myrtle Beach, and we offer a great way for them to find out more about the area or keep in touch when they’re not here on vacation.”
Carson is among the team of community moderators who answer visitor questions about the area; post photos and videos; and keep longtime visitors informed about new offerings at the beach.
“Over the past year or so, fans have really been interested in the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Skywheel as well as some new attractions and restaurants around town,” Carson said. “They like to know what’s new when they’re planning their vacations, and they can see pictures and videos of those new attractions on our page.”
MyrtleBeach.com attracts Facebook fans from across the United States, with a large percentage coming from the area’s top visitor markets. Among the top fan hometowns are Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C. and Columbia, S.C.
