Natasha Tomé, Executive Director of MICE Marketing for Sands Cotai Macao, says, “IMEX America provides us a valuable opportunity to showcase the latest developments of Sands Cotai Macao to the American and international market. With our newest hotel brand, Sheraton Macao, Cotai Central having just opened on September 20, our room inventory and meeting and convention capabilities have further expanded, but with the same guaranteed expertise and unparalleled service that have made the CotaiExpo™, CotaiArena™ and The Venetian® Macao the region’s meetings destination leaders, providing organisers with everything just under one roof. The expert and international team at Sands Cotai Macao make anything possible for conferences to ensure their absolute success.”

Sheraton Macao, Cotai Central – the largest Sheraton in the world, and Macao’s single-largest hotel, is the newest addition to Sands Cotai Macao. As part of the second phase of the Sands Cotai Central integrated resort that was unveiled to the public on September 20, Sheraton Macao features two hotel towers – Sky and Earth – which will bring the total guestrooms count to nearly 4,000 in early 2013. The hotel’s Kashgar grand ballroom offers nearly 53,000 square feet (4,900 square metres) of pillarless meeting and event space. And Shoppes Cotai Central has added a second level of duty-free shops, plus additional restaurants and an international food court.

In the upcoming fall and winter seasons, three spectacular attractions – Titanic The Exhibition and The Human Bodies Exhibition and the Winter in Venice extravaganza – will arrive at The Venetian Macao for the first time, offering unprecedented experiences for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who will head to Sands Cotai Macao during this period. Titanic The Exhibition features over 400 replica artefacts recovered from the famed ship’s wreckage, taking visitors through key milestones in the Titanic’s story, and provides a home for the stories of its passengers and crew, and also original objects used in James Cameron’s blockbuster motion picture Titanic. Using an innovative preservation process, The Human Bodies Exhibition will showcase over 200 individual organs and full body specimens to help illustrate how our fascinating body works. This incredible educational exhibition is set to captivate the public because of the beautiful, simple way it reveals the complexity that lies just under our skin. The two exhibitions will be held between October 25, 2012 and February 24, 2013 at The Venetian Macao’s CotaiExpo.

In addition, The Venetian Macao’s expansive outdoor Lagoon will magically transform into the most majestic winter wonderland Macao has ever seen from November 21, 2012 through January 13, 2013. Coinciding with the festive Christmas season, Winter in Venice will feature a state of the art light and sound spectacular on a scale never seen before in Macao, and an outdoor synthetic skating rink surrounded by a 60-foot high white Christmas tree, charming string lights and warm music.
