ICCA CEC Summer Meeting

Between 15th and 17th of April 2013 the CEO of Gdansk Tourist Organization / Gdańsk Convention Bureau Anna Gorska, also serving as Chair of the ICCA Central European Chapter, was in St. Petersburg for the site visit, checking the state of preparation of the city to host the prestigious summer meeting of the chapter. The event will be held from 22nd till 24th of August, and its main organizers are ExpoForum  and St. Petersburg Convention Bureau.

Anna Gorska had the opportunity to see the facility, which will host a conference – Lenexpo Exhibition Centre and the proposals of the Welcome Gala Dinner venues in the Paul’s & Peter’s Fortress. The organizers of the meeting presented the best selection of the city’s hotels in which participants will be staying. Mrs. Gorska had also and an opportunity to try a catering including of traditional Russian dishes that will be served to the guests during Gala Dinner.

The conference program itself (during which there will be numerous presentations and lectures on industry meetings) will be enriched with cultural activities, such as exploring the Catherine Palace in Pushkin’s district and the boat trip “Rivers and Canals of St. Petersburg”.

Summer meeting of the ICCA Central European Chapter is organized every year in a different destination. In 2011 meeting was held in Gdansk (Poland), in 2012 in Dusseldorf (Germany) in 2014 will be held in Belgrade (Serbia). ICCA Central European Chapter is one of the largest in the association. Its members include organizations from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Czech.
