EIBTM supports Industry Peers through dedicated research education stream

EIBTM 2013Results will be presented at 2013 Show (19-21 November) 

EIBTM (www.eibtm.com), the global event for the meetings and events industry, has confirmed that the results of a number of key research projects will be delivered at the 2013 edition of the show, scheduled to take place in the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, 19-21 November.

Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Events Management, University of Greenwich, London is once again set to deliver his EIBTM Trends Watch Report (19 November, 11:30-12:30). His session, which has proven extremely popular in recent years, analyses the developments in the principal world regions and markets.

Davidson will draw on some of the latest international data and reports to provide a comprehensive and in-depth overview of business trends in the industry.  The session will equip all attendees with up-to-date insights and knowledge of key global trends that will help shape their respective business strategies.

Following on from his successful session delivered at CIBTM – the leading trade show for meetings and events organisers, venue providers and incentive and business travel services in China and Asia – Davidson is also set to host the China Meetings Summit which will take place on 19 November (15:30-16:30) in conference room 5.3.

The China Meetings Summit will provide global perspectives from the region’s meetings industry, unravelling concerns and opportunities within the China market. The session will also discuss newly launched research from CIBTM 2013, which focused on Chinese Meeting Planners and their requirements when searching for destinations and venues.

American Express Meetings & Events are set to deliver their Meetings and Events Industry Trends: 2014 & Beyond on 19 November (12:30-13:30) at EIBTM this year.  Attendees of this session will learn about the key trends impacting the meetings industry in the coming year and what it could mean for their meeting program. It will also cover issues impacting meetings including Social Media, Virtual Meetings & Mobility, as well as potential rate shifts for air and hotel.

Sally Greenhill, Managing Director, The Right Solution will once again present the results of the 2013 IBTM Global Meetings Industry Research on 20 November (14:00-15:00). The IBTM Global Research is primary research conducted to reveal the latest meetings industry trends that will support meetings industry professionals towards making more informed decisions, which will contribute towards their overall business objectives.
