Over 1000 foot care specialists from all over the world participated in the FIP-IFP (International Federation of Podiatry) World Congress of Podiatry in Rome on 17-19 October 2013.

The event was organised byAIM Group International Rome office for the first time with huge success in the number of participants as well as number of exhibitors.

The organising and scientific committee put together a program with wide variety of workshops, a diverse range of lectures, abstracts and posters. The ‘sold out’ exhibition showcased the latest podiatric technology, equipments and products. More than 1,000 footcare specialists had an opportunity to learn about products and services from around the world that are on the market today.

Besides the regular sessions, the conference also provided hands-on workshops dealing with specific issues such as “The art of fitting shoes to deliver style with comfort” , “The athlete’s foot”, “The mystery of shoe sizing and the critical role of last dimensions” and the “Diabetic foot”.

AIM’s Rome office started working with the “International Federation of Podiatrists” and the “Italian Association of Podiatry” in June 2012, when the company was appointed to provide professional services and organisation for this event. The conference, which was held in the Sheraton Roma Hotel and Conference Center, quickly reached a maximum capacity of exhibitors.

Dr. Joseph Caporusso, President of the International Federation of Podiatrists commented: “We are very satisfied with the results of this conference, as we hosted almost 1000 delegates from 40 countries worldwide and were able to provide a very interesting and high-end scientific program. In addition, it was another great experience for us to visit beautiful Rome, where we could enjoy the Eternal City’s unique history and gastronomic delights. We were very pleased to combine a high-ranking scientific program and one of the most attractive venues in Italy within the framework of this conference.”
