acte HK20146 March — The latest development sweeping ACTE’s Asia Region is the announcement that the 13th Annual Asia Corporate Travel Conference will be held for the first time in Hong Kong, on 6 August – 7 August 2014. According to Benson Tang, ACTE’s Asia Regional Director, the scope of the conference – with a powerful agenda, global networking, and the emergence of new products and new brands – is the perfect complement to Hong Kong’s backdrop of international finance.

“The association’s legacy of excellence, value, and breakthrough presentations will continue in Hong Kong,” said Tang. “ACTE’s 13th Annual Asia Corporate Travel Conference honours the fastest growing segment of the global business travel community with the most advanced travel management techniques to be introduced in this decade. The association’s proprietary approach to travel trend analysis, known as the “Four Pillars,” has been specially designed to suit the diverse interests of this conference’s participants.”

The “Four Pillars” identifies the most significant areas of travel trend development (data and analytics; industry innovations; talent development for you; and traveller centricity), whilst recommending a specific course of action. Each category is represented by speakers, expert/practitioners, and case studies to support new findings and conclusions. ACTE leads the industry in this approach.

Tang added that the event will be hosted by the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East, a hotel as renowned for its hospitality and service as it is for its striking architectural statement. This contemporary, 5-star property was named “The Best New Hotel In Hong Kong” at the 6th TTG China Travel Awards 2013. Not far from the centre of town, this hotel features 359-guest rooms, one of the largest ballrooms in Hong Kong, and world-class meeting facilities.
