The next edition of the exhibition, which takes place from 22 – 24 April, will offer the platform for holding individual meetings between qualified buyers from the MICE segment and exhibitors

WTM Latin America 2015, which will take place from 22 – 24 April in Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, will feature a special action for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment. This is “A Taste of IBTM”, where qualified buyers and exhibitors will be able to get to know the IBTM Portfolio, which currently runs trade fairs in seven destinations around the world – EIBTM in Barcelona; IBTM Arabia, in Abu Dhabi; CIBTM, in Beijing; IBTM America, in Chicago; AIME, in Melbourne; IBTM India, in Chennai; and IBTM Africa, in Cape Town.

Together the events in the IBTM portfolio provide access to more than 5000 suppliers from 100 countries, 17,000 events’ organisers and more than 100,000 pre-scheduled meetings, guaranteeing a total return on their investment for exhibitors.

During WTM Latin America various meetings will be held between exhibitors and buyers. These buyers will be previously qualified by the highly specialist, IBTM portfolio team. In doing this, the objective of Reed Travel Exhibitions, parent company of WTM and IBTM events, is to support the growth of both brands, increase the return on their investment for exhibitors from the MICE segment, both Brazilian and international, and add more value to their customers.

Sallie Coventry, Portfolio Director for IBTM Global Events Portfolio says: “We are delighted to be working alongside WTM Latin America. This is a great opportunity for the IBTM portfolio to enter the growing Latin American market .”

“WTM Latin America has already been established as the most wide and representative event of the sector in the continent. “The Taste of IBTM” makes the generalist strategy stronger, which we have settled since the beginning, including MICE. We are an event completely B2B, so this way we are protecting the travel agents and any other valuable intermediary companies in the whole tourism industry” Lawrence Reinisch, Director da WTM Latin America.

The initiative is supported by Braztoa (Brazilian Association of Tourism Operators). “We’re very enthusiastic about holding yet another successful Braztoa Commercial Meeting in association with WTM Latin America. Actions like this can only add to the common objective we have, which is to bring Brazilian companies and suppliers from various parts of the world together, thereby generating more and more business that is advantageous to all.” said Marco Ferraz, the president of the entity.
