wtm latin america2015New venue and initiatives poised to lead to record business deals

World Travel Market Latin America 2015 is poised to be the biggest and best yet thanks to a new venue and a range of new initiatives which will increase the value of business the event facilitates.

The third WTM Latin America and 43rd Braztoa Business Event will take place at Expo Centre Norte, São Paulo, from 22-24 April. The move from Transamerica Expo Center to larger Expo Center Norte in 2015 allows WTM Latin America to expand by a further 10% and meet exhibitor demand. New exhibitors – including Traveltek, Delta Tours and Saint Petersburg Express – will be take part in WTM Latin America alongside long-term exhibitors Chile, Israel, Mexico and Peru, which have all increased their presence for 2015 and will help it surpass last year’s $341 million of business deals facilitated by the event.

Furthermore, the more central location of Expo Center Norte in São Paulo will make the event more convenient for the city’s array of travel agents based downtown. The new venue also offers an improved location for international exhibitors, buyers and visitors as the Expo Center Norte is nearer São Paulo´s Guarulhos airport, which is the main aviation hub for Latin America.

New for 2015 is the A Taste of IBTM, which will see fellow Reed Travel Exhibition’s event IBTM’s staff approve 60 qualified Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) buyers for exhibitors to negotiate business deals with.

Also launching at WTM Latin America 2015 is a Business Travel Area, added to the exhibition floor to host global travel management companies (TMCs), airlines, hotels and technology suppliers. 100 Brazilian business travel buyers will be hosted to conclude deals with the business travel exhibitors.

The wider WTM Latin America Hosted Buyer Programme returns to the event with up to 120 international buyers. Furthermore, Braztoa’s Caravanas returns with Braztoa hosting 900 Brazilian travel agents, while the tour operator association will also host 70 product managers.

WTM Latin America, Exhibition Director, Lawrence Reinisch, said: “WTM Latin America 2015 will be the biggest and best event so far, with an increased floor space in an improved location to bring the world to Latin America and Latin America to the world.”
