Event offers opportunity for up to 150 buyers to be hosted in Brazil

Registration for the International Hosted Buyers’ programme at the third edition of WTM Latin America is now open. The event, which occurs simultaneously with the 43rd Commercial Braztoa Meeting, between 22 – 24 April, at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, will offer the opportunity for up to 150 highly qualified and professional delegates interested in Latin America to be hosted.

The delegates selected will represent both the Leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Exhibitions) sectors of the travel industry and during the three day event, will be offered a 3 day tailored programme of activity that will enable new business to be agreed.

Since the inaugural WTM Latin America in 2013, the Hosted Buyers’ initiative offers benefits such as pre-scheduled meetings with selected exhibitors, a contribution towards their travel, along with organised transfers and accommodation, and other benefits.

At WTM Latin America 2014, around 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings took place with the array of Brazilian, Latin American and International exhibitors. This lead to US$341 million worth of business deals being generated as a result.

  • Eco Tours from France
  • BCD Travel from Mexico
  • Carlson Wagonlit Travel from the United Kingdom
  • Avanti Destinations from the US

To be selected as a Hosted Buyer, the professional must meet a certain criteria as well as having a key interest in Latin American products and business potential. Exhibitors that have confirmed their participation at this year’s event include countries such as Peru, Chile, Mexico, USA,  France, Switzerland, Norway, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and India. Hotel chains such as Accor, Hilton and IHG has also secured their spaces as well as airlines Avianca and Air France.

Furthermore, Braztoa’s 43rd Meeting will offer buyers and visitors the chance to see their new products and launches, with Braztoa currently selling 90% of leisure tourism packages in the Brazilian market.
