The future of tourism in Italy and in the world

In Rimini, the chain’s most prestigious brands, as well as trend analyses, the stimuli of world-level case histories, bloggers’ role and digital tourist figures, during dozens of appointments dedicated to all those wanting to be part of the change.

Rimini, 8th September 2015 –TTG Incontri 2015, the expo’s 52nd edition, will put the accent on innovation and be held from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th October at Rimini Fiera. 

The most important Italian expo dedicated to tourism, one of Europe’s top fairs, awaits over 60,000 trade members from all over the world and 1,100 buyers from 85 countries interested in what the Italian and Mediterranean tourist market has to offer. The expo will occupy a total of 100,000 square metres and host over 130 destination, including Sri Lanka, the event’s cultural focus country, and new entries Kenya, Colombia, Lithuania, Antigua and Barbuda. Special areas will be dedicated to Greece and Croatia, and a large increase in attendance from Armenia is reported. Big changes and new products will be found in the Italy Area. 

The topic of innovation will running across TTG Incontri 2015 over the three days, including the large expo area, which will host, among others, brands such as Venere Expedia, Expedia Hotel, Hotwire, Sabre, Amadeus, Travel Republic, Trivago, Oracle, Fast Booking, Travelclick, Passpartout and a significant participation such as Kigo, directly from Texas, to present its holiday home rental management software. 

Then there is the participation of large airlines: Emirates, Az/Ethiad and Air France/Klm/Transavia have chosen the TTG Incontri showcase to promote their services. 

New arrivals include companies such as Home Away and Société Européenne d’Hôtellerie, as well as tour operators of the calibre of Caleidoscopio, Gruppo Blu Vacanze, with an expo space of 800 square metres, Gattinoni and G40.

 For the transport world, from Trenitalia the new proposal dedicated to regional and interregional trains and, after ten years, the return to TTG of Grandi Navi Veloci. Etnaland park is debuting at TTG 2015 . 

The contents are top grade: there will be a preview presentation of Milan Polytechnic’s Observatory on Digital Innovation in Tourism, with the support and participation of TTG; the Euromonitor Report during the Travel Industry and Online Travel Global Overview; appointments with the Netcomm Consortium to favour the digital evolution of the tourist trade; through to digital strategies that transform tourist destinations with the Digital Tourism Think Tank, which will illustrate examples of successful digital strategies and web marketing trends on the tourism market. 

The TTG Next innovation area on the other hand will host the most innovative Italian startup companies, whereas there will once more be the eagerly awaited appointment with Travel Blogger Destination Italy (TBDI), the event for bloggers and for the development of social strategies in tourist enterprises.

There is also great expectation at TTG Incontri for the event “Italy: Telling another story, with the contribution of Annamaria Testa, historical player of Italy’s communication and creativity.
