2016 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses to Messukeskus Helsinki

Jehovah’s Witnesses hold their 2016 international convention at Messukeskus Helsinki in June. It is the main event for Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2016 and over 10,000 participants are expected to attend, both from Finland and abroad.

The convention is an international special event including speeches, video presentations and music. All programme held in three days will be translated into five languages: Finnish, Finnish sign language, Swedish, English and Russian. Also live streaming is available so that the programme can be followed live in Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu, and also in simultaneously organised Jehovah events held in the Baltic countries.

The International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses is organised 24-26 June 2016 at Messukeskus Helsinki, Halls 1, 6 and 7. Last time this convention was held at Messukeskus Helsinki in 1983.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are the third largest religious group in Finland after the Evangelical Lutheran and Orthodox churches. It is the largest registered religious community in Finland with approximately 19,000 active members.

Messukeskus Helsinki promotes Finnish welfare by enabling effective face to face encounters at exhibitions, meetings, conferences and other events. In 2014 Messukeskus Helsinki hosted 1,500 meetings and congresses, and attracted altogether 1,1 million visitors to different events. The Conference Centre has 40 meeting rooms of different sizes and the Amfi Hall auditorium which seats 4,400 people.
