Prefecture of Korinthia
The Corinthian land, a place abundantly gifted by Nature and History, spreads its hospitable arms at the North-eastern Peloponnesian part, keeping also a small part of Central Greece, while it forms the connection link between the land of Pelopas and the rest of Greece, through the Isthmus.

It invites and allures the visitor, the traveller of time and lands, to seek and get to know its multiple faces, its beautiful beaches, deep forests, mountains, prairies and lakes and to discover on its every corner, a little or great story, a rich tradition that gives to the place a special magic, a unique grace that leaves nobody unaffected.

Corinthia is a land where opposites meet, yet opposites that compose the "best harmony". It has all the graces of Times: Beautiful and always changing Nature, endless and great history, that is lost in the Centuries. It looks like a miniature of Greece. A miniature of world a world ethical, created by angels.

Loutraki
The Loutraki area spreads between the Corinthian Gulf coasts and the Gerania mountains, a land known since antiquity as, 'Peraia' (=the opposite), a name that was given to it, by the Corinthians.

The famous thermal waters of the area, (the ancient 'Thermai'), always attracted many tourists. After 1925, when the town of Loutraki was recognized as a health resort and 1928, when the first Greek Casino started functioning, the area acquired a cosmopolitan glamour and its touristic development was rapid.

Xylokastro
The town of Xylokastro, that stands over the western point of Northern Corinthian, with its perfect organization and beauty, despite its many and modern facilities, is very well known for the famous Pefkias, the unique pine-tree forest on the southern coast of the Corinthian Gulf, as well as, for the sparkling and crystal clear water of its coasts that attract many tourists.

From the beautiful Xylokastro, you can get to know the rest of the coastal zone until Derveni, passing through the villages near the sea, all being simple and picturesque, with small one- or two-floor houses and an endless beach, that reaches almost their yards.

Kiato
South of the town of Kiato, lies ancient Sikiona, which was inhabited since very early, according to the myth, first by Gods and then by mixed people. At that time, it was called Mykoni, and it was here that once the products of land and Times, Gods and People, decided to divide the goods of the world. Here was when famous Prometheus, stole fire for the people.

Then, when people were left alone on this earth, they called it "Aigialia", that is, 'Beach', and here for the first time, they joined their hands and danced around the fire dances of wild and orgiastic nature, a fact that was the beginning of theater and ancient tragedy. After that, the town was called Sikiona, and it became the birth town of the grandfather of Kleisthenis, who later conceived the idea of Democracy.
