In April 2012, Disneyland Paris will celebrate its 20th Anniversary of bringing Disney magic and family fun to Europe.

Disneyland Paris – originally called Euro Disney Resort – officially opened on 12 April 1992 and now serves more than 15 million smiling guests from all over Europe and across the world every year. To commemorate two decades of bringing out the inner Disney child in millions of visitors, Disneyland Paris has prepared a full plate of spectacular new shows and attractions for its 20th Anniversary celebration. Disneyland Paris plans to hire more than 4,000 employees on top of its 14,500-strong staff come April. Disneyland Paris is also planning an extensive programme of improvements, refurbishments, and changes just in time for the 20th Anniversary celebrations.

New programmes coming to Disneyland Paris include the night-time show Dreams, the Disney Magic on Parade shows, Meet Mickey Mouse, and the Main Street, USA Celebrates extravaganza. Dreams, Disneyland Paris’s new, immersive night-time spectacular, promises to provide a sparkling visual delight combining the best of Disney with eye-popping special effects. Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and fountains will help to tell the classic Disney stories while lights and lasers promise to illuminate the night sky with magic.

Another new addition to the world premiere of the Disney Colour, Light and Magic Show which will be having its world premiere, having never been performed before. The Disney Magic on Parade and Main Street, USA Celebrates cast your favourite Disney characters in an aura of glamour and stardom. Expect vivid floats and joyous music to immerse you into an amazing fantasy land.

To better accommodate guests who want to be a part of the lights, magic, and colours of Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Park will be open for extended hours on weekdays between April and September 2012.
