The Association of Association Executives (AAE) today reveals the programme for the Associations World Congress to be held 2-4 May 2017 at the Austria Center Vienna.

Along with a list of key speakers is a packed programme of streams and sessions designed to offer great education, networking and information for the 300+ association delegates forecast to attend.

Alongside the congress will be the International and European Association Awards ceremony, held on the evening of 3 May, which recognises excellence in leadership, development and service across European and International membership organisations and will be held at the Hofburg Vienna. The awards are uniquely free to enter and free for shortlisted associations to attend and are supported by the Institute of Association Management.

New this year and highlights of the programme:

Association success story sessions – 20 associations shortlisted for the Association Awards will share and discuss their case study projects the afternoon before the awards, on 3 May. With edited and published case studies. Each delegate can attend two stories.

Video and TV Channel Stream – Video is a fast-growing communication method and a critical way to provide regular sector information to members. Each month associations are launching video channels/offerings (unrelated to event recordings) and this stream helps guide them on creation, planning and how to fund them. Hear from ITN, Eye Film and a selection of associations on their successes.

Member Engagement – A whole day of digital related content looking at member engagement strategies, CRM and MRM, successful online communities and tribal marketing.

Conference and Events – Neuroscience and Neuromarketing will be an extraordinary topic in this stream from the Neuromarketing Science and Business Association.

Leading your Sector: – Presentations on Thought Leadership from PwC and Professional Development and genuine eLearning from professional bodies, each critical aspects that make associations unique.

Interesting speakers include:

Andreas Felser – Executive Director of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine.

Simon Shelley – Head of the ITN Industry News, part of the global ITN news organisation.

Konrad Friedrich – Head of Conference Management & Marketing European Society of Radiology.

The AAE’s Executive Director, Damian Hutt, says: “We have another packed programme for our Associations Congress which we are really excited to be bringing to Vienna.”

To find out more about the programme join Damian Hutt and Vienna’s Convention Bureau Head Christian Mutschlechner on Tuesday 29th November at 4pm at IBTM World – Vienna Convention Bureau, stand number F20.
