The CCIB appoints new Sales and Marketing Director

Barcelona, January 2010. – The Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB) has appointed Carolina García Serra its new Sales and Marketing Director.
With a degree in Tourism and a postgraduate qualification in Marketing and Communications from EADA, Carolina García Serra has had extensive experience in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) sector. After a professional career including 11 outstanding years of experience at Ultramar Event Management, TUI Spain’s MICE division, the CCIB’s new executive has been closely involved with large-scale events organization, like the EIBTM (Professional Congress, Meeting and Incentives Exhibition) and the Mobile World Congress, among others.
In her post as Sales and Marketing Director for the Barcelona International Convention Centre, Carolina García Serra will be responsible for business relationships with clients, attracting new enterprises and events, as well as defining and implementing the Centre’s Marketing strategy for the upcoming years.
This appointment reinforces the professionalism of the CCIB’s new organization chart. According to its General Manager, Marc Rodríguez, “Carolina García’s incorporation consolidates the strength of the CCIB’s workforce. Her professionalism and experience will undoubtedly help us to continue to be Southern Europe’s standard-setting convention centre”.
