On April 4, 2010 BSI group with support of Malev Airlines and Hungarian Cultural Centre organized a business reception “Journey to Hungary”.

Within the framework of the reception the Head of Consular Department of the Embassy of Hungary Laszlo Fendrik informed about new rules of applying for a visa and gave the recommendations for execution of the documents. Mr. Fendrik noted that the number of the Russians visiting Hungary for tourism, business or education purposes increased. As opposed to 2009, when the tourist flow from Russia was about 41500 thousand people (48000 in 2008), the first quarter of 2010 demonstrates very positive dynamics. “We issued 7500 visas in March, and it’s just the beginning of tourist season”, summed up Laszlo Fendrik.

It’s important to note that Budapest is an ideal starting point for local European trips – only 2.5 hours journey by bus or by train and one can visit Vienna, it’s also possible to go to Croatia and Slovakia.
