On Friday 15 October, the 17th annual Night of Culture in Copenhagen takes place. There will be 500 things to see and do at 250 museums, churches, ministries, parks and squares all over the city.

The Night of Culture again offers masses of exciting activities. Come to Rosenborg Castle with a torch, hunt for ghosts in the Assistens Culture Centre, taste the famous City Hall pancakes or watch the animals in the zoo after dark.

This year there are also new places open specially such as the Hotel d’Angleterre and Carlsberg City.

Varied programme
There is something for all tastes at this year’s Night of Culture. Classic cultural institutes such as the Royal Playhouse invite visitors to take a look at their enormous professional “dressing up box” with costumes, wigs, hats and weird shoes.

For those who would rather have a subterranean experience, there is the opportunity to see upcoming young Danish dance artists in the Dance Hall, or Finnish garage rock at the Copenhagen Central Library.

Easier to find your way around
The programme for the Night of Culture is spread all over the city, and this year new easy-to-read maps will be set up to guide you around the various events and locations.

The price of a pass to all events is DKK 85. A pass gives admission to all events and free transport by S-train, bus and metro in the whole region from 17:00 until 05:00 the next morning.

Tickets can be bought at S-train stations in the whole region.

The complete programme should soon be available in English at www.kulturnatten.dk/en
