At the height of the election campaign just three days before the election, the Riksdag parties are set to take part in an energy debate at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, as part of Vind 2010 – Perspektiv 2020.
Everyone interested in Sweden’s future investments in renewable energy is welcome to attend the debate free of charge.

“We’re opening the doors to everyone we have room for, since we think these issues are of enormous public interest,” says Ylva Tengblad, Conference Coordinator for Vind 2010 –Perspektiv 2020, which is organised by the Swedish Wind Energy Association.

The debate, which starts at 14.15 on 16 September, is to be led by the well-known radio journalist Erik Blix. Those taking part in the debate include Anna Kinberg Batra (Mod.), Carl B Hamilton (Lib.), Per Bolund (Green) and Tomas Eneroth (Soc. Dem.).

“The fact that the parties are sending their national energy spokespersons shows that they’re prioritising this occasion. There is a directive that 20% of all energy consumption in the EU is to be renewable by 2020. Hopefully the debate at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre will provide straight answers to how the parties view the role of wind power in achieving this,” says Ylva Tengblad.
