Continuing to be wowed and a simplified floorplan are two of the areas identified as part of extensive visitor research carried out by leading industry show International Confex.

The show’s organisers invested in focus groups and in-depth analysis to ensure that the event continued to innovate and inspire visitors as it enters into its 27th year when it returns to Earls Court from 1st-3rd March 2011.

Three new sector areas will be created to divide the floorplan into Location, Logistics and Something Special. While the show features will be about making a statement with the introduction of The Floating Bar, a central networking area situated on water which will form the main hub of the show.

Director of International Confex, Alison Willis commented; “International Confex has consistently grown both in visitor numbers and exhibitors. However, as we enter into a key year for the events industry ahead of the Olympics, it’s important that it remains fresh and inspiring. Visitors need us to raise the bar on engagement and creativity, which will in turn get exhibitors to raise it higher and we’re really excited about next year’s show.

“Our audience has also changed over the years and reflects a real diversity in terms of the sectors that our buyers represent, so tailoring content to specific audience groups has also been an important factor to make sure Confex remains the fantastic industry event that everyone knows and loves.”

Other changes include further investment to the hosted buyer programme to accommodate 250 delegates following high demand for places when it was introduced in 2010’s show. Show days will also be dedicated to particular sectors with specific educational content aimed at their needs and will include a PA & Corporate Day and an Association Day. The show floor will also include a luxury spa area and a European pavilion. Celebrity keynotes and the educational content under Confex Knowledge will remain a highlight of the show to inspire and inform visitors.
