Introducing MOA, The Medical Officers Association MOA’s purpose is to ease communication between doctors and patients in Italy and the rest of the world.

Gianluca Tartaglia, chair of the MOA, states, “It is a big achievement to create this association, made by professionals and technical staff, to fill the existing gap between doctor and patient, a gap that is seen in many clinics and doctors’ offices.”

MOA is a non-profit organization whose goals are to promote operative excellence in patient reception, transfer this high level of communication into the medical structures, and create superior relations with patients. These goals will be achieved through professional training courses, didactical meetings, and medical exhibitions and events.

The Association provides information and networking regarding specific issues of doctor/patient communication to its members.  In addition, it helps to collect and disseminate news between associates.

MOA promotes the sharing of information and scientific research in the medical field through meetings, seminars, and specific events. MOA’s focus is the efficiency and the effectiveness of the communication between doctor and patient and between the medical structure and its users (from diagnosis to the spread of knowledge about health information). The role played by communication between doctor and patient is fundamental in removing impeding boundaries. This communication also ultimately improves clinical practice and increases patient satisfaction.

The Association will promote events and discussions regarding doctor/patient communication (directly or with the support of other associations and corporations).
