More than 3 million Russians will visit Turkey this year

The growth of outbound tourist flow of the Russians to Turkey amounted to 16% according to the results of 9 months of 2010 in comparison with 2009. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Turkey, more than 2 818 000 Russians have already visited the country this year. So, it can be said with confidence that the number of 3 million people will be overcome in 2010.

In general, 23 135 200 foreigners visited Turkey during 9 months of 2010 (+1.3 million people in comparison with the same period of last year).

The tourist flow of the Russians to Turkey increased by 8% in September 2010 in comparison with September 2009 and by 9.3% in comparison with September 2008, amounting to 478 000 people. It’s a record-breaking indicator according to the results of 9 months of calendar year.

However, according to the results of 9 months of 2010, the Russians kept just the 2nd place in the rating of the countries suppliers of the tourists to Turkey with the share of 12.2% staying behind just for 2.4% of the share of constantly leading German market. source: atorus.ru
