Ovation Global DMC Launches The Second Annual Huggability Awards Campaign

Following the success of the inaugural Huggability Awards in 2009, Ovation Global DMC has unveiled the second annual awards campaign. This award, which was commended at the UK’s prestigious Meeting Industry Marketing Awards last month, recognises those individuals who make a real impact within the meetings industry, those with the ‘huggability factor’.
Commenting on the awards launch Padraic Gilligan, Managing Director of Ovation Global DMC said ‘’We are simply thrilled with the initial response to the campaign and with the volume of nominations already received from all corners of the globe and all sectors of our industry’’.
Among the multiple nominations already registered are Barbra Albrecht, Head of Product Marketing for Meetings & Incentives with the Switzerland Convention and Incentive Bureau, Jon Bradshaw and Paul Flackett of IMEX and Gillian Taylor, Business Tourism Manager of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. Barbra is recognised for her ‘’uncompromised customer support in promoting Switzerland’’ while Jon is cited for his ‘’energetic smile and big hearted charity activities’’. Paul’s ‘’loyal support of Manchester United F.C.’’ is deemed deserving of a hug while Gillian is honoured for ‘’putting back more into the industry than she takes out and being a consummate professional’’.
Nominations can be made via cubclub@ovationdmc.com before November 15th 2010 and the winner will be announced during the upcoming EIBTM tradeshow in Barcelona where Ovation will exhibit at stand G700. More detail on the awards is available at www.ovationdmc.com
