5% increase in Trade Visitors

1% increase in Total Attendance

55,300 Pre-Scheduled Appointments

This year’s 22nd EIBTM attracted 3,125 exhibiting companies from over 90 countries.  The number of trade visitors was 4,010 reflecting a 5% increase on last year and total attendance including Hosted Buyers reached 8,395, a 1% increase on 2009 (unaudited figures). Hosted Buyers at the show undertook more than 55,300 Pre scheduled appointments, a 1.35% increase on 2009.

Some Hosted Buyers were unfortunately stranded due to the severe weather conditions that affected Europe during EIBTM and initial findings indicate that approximately 200 Hosted Buyers were unable to attend the show, with data and reports still to be collated.

Other highlights of the event included over 100 events and meetings in and around the show, with a record 59 professional education sessions, also the introduction of the Stand Awards, a revamp of the CEO Summit and a new show floor lecture theatre, all with the objective to drive business and deliver value for all those attending the event.
