The Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) UK & Ireland has announced the appointment of two new Board Directors who will start on 25th January 2011.  Yvette Rudge, Deloitte, and Ike Ihenacho, Nokia, will join the ITM board in the capacity of buyer directors for a two year term. The association board approved their appointment after a robust interview process earlier in the year.

The appointments replace Fay Sharpe, Zibrant, and Derick Shaw, Aviva, who each depart after two terms totalling more than five years. Mr Shaw will remain in a role as company secretary to the ITM Board.

Talking about the appointments, the ITM Chairman, Jamie Hindhaugh, said, “We are delighted that Yvette Rudge and Ike Ihenacho will join the board and add future strength and breadth to an association board with a fine history. We will benefit in particular from their expert knowledge across meetings and mobile technology. At the same time, Derick Shaw and Fay Sharpe should be warmly thanked for their incredible contribution to the ITM board since 2005.”
