Prague New Year’s Fireworks

Prague’s traditional New Year`s fireworks display will take this year again to the river splashing light and sound across the sky on Saturday, January 1. Centerpiece of this year`s display will be the Vltava river with fireworks being launched from a boat between the Čechův Bridge and Štefánikův Bridge.

The 15-minute-long display will be traditionally accompanied by music. There are several options where to go to enjoy the fireworks.

The best choice is to be anywhere on or overlooking the river, i.e. on or near the Charles Bridge, the Petřín Hill and Prague Castle. People also gather on the streets, terraces, or the restaurants on river banks and on the top decks of the boats floating around Charles Bridge, and admire the beauty of fireworks over the water surrounded by a charming scenery of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the Old Town.
