As part of the HORECA 2011 International Tradeshow for Catering and Equipping Hotels and Catering Establishments, the first National Gastronomy Conference “Kalimera Breakfast” (“Good Morning Breakfast”) will be held by the Hellenic Chef’s Association on 5 February 2011 at the EXPO ATHENS Exhibition Centre.

The Conference will bring together a large number of tourism, foodservice, business and education organisations who aim to transform Greek tourism and promote Greek gastronomy at an international level. The Conference is open to tour operators, hoteliers, restaurateurs and professionals of all foodservice establishments, as well as to schools specialising in tourism professionals. Amongst other things, the programme will include the presentation of a proposal for a Greek breakfast, entitled “Kalimera Breakfast”.

The Conference is expected to become a focal point for Greek gastronomy and is held under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the Union of Hellenic Chambers, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Hellenic Chef’s Federation, the Panhellenic Federation of Restaurant Owners and Related Businesses, and the Chefs Association. ARTION is organising the event. For more information, you can visit the official website of the Conference at www.gastronomy-council.gr
