British Airways Launches Flights to Paris Orly

CRAWLEY, England, January 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — British Airways has started its 12 services a week between London Heathrow and Paris Orly to complement its flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

The flights to Paris ( http://www.britishairways.com/travel/flights-to-paris/public/en_gb) Orly first took off on January 10, 2011 with seats having been on sale since November 16.

Colm Lacy, British Airways’ general manager network planning, said: “This is an excellent addition to our shorthaul network, allowing business travellers easy access to the Paris financial district which is close to Orly airport. Customers will also be able to make smooth connections on to BA subsidiary OpenSkies’ services between Orly and the United States, and on to oneworld partner, Iberia.”

The route is be served by A319s, A320s and A321s and will offer two classes to choose from, Euro Traveller and Club Europe.

Customers selecting the Club Europe cabin can take advantage of Terminal 5’s excellent lounge facilities, allowing them to work or relax prior to their flight.

Customers can choose between hotels perfectly suited for a city break on a budget such as the two-star Antin Trinite, a small hotel located just behind the famous Galeries Lafayette or contemporary boutiques including the four-star Lumen with its traditional Haussmann facade and enviable location close to many of the major Paris attractions and stores. The four-star K and K Cayre is located in Saint-Germain-des-Pres on the Left Bank of the Seine and is a comfortable hotel which offers a great breakfast. At the higher end of the scale is the four and a half-star Westin Paris, overlooking the Tuileries. Boutiques and museums of Paris are only a short stroll away.
