Dusit Princess City Centre DUBAI appoints DOSM

Dubai, January 2011: The Dusit Princess City Centre Dubai has appointed Vanessa Kong to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. In her new role Kong will oversee the sales and marketing team for the hotel and will be instrumental in new business and lead generation, as well as maintaining existing client relationships.

“Vanessa brings an intimate knowledge of the hospitality industry and a proven track record in sales,” said Sam-Erik Ruttmann regional vice president Middle East, Dusit International. “We are confident she will play an important role in the development of the Dusit Princess City Centre Dubai as we continue to strengthen and grow our business base in the region”

Prior to joining the Dusit Princess Kong spent three years with the Dusit Residence Dubai Marina as director of sales. Here she was tasked with developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to create a business base and subsequently increase share in the transient market.

Kong’s sales career path began at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park in Malaysia where she held the position of sales executive. From here she subsequently worked with the Sheraton Subang Hotel and Tower Malaysia, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore and the Shangri-La in Singapore before moving to Dubai to join the Dusit Thani Dubai in 2006.
