Skyscanner reveals top ten countries wanting to say ‘I do’ with Will and Kate

Following an earlier search which exposed the nations that are most interested in flying to England for the Royal Wedding, data from Skyscanner reveals that Germany is now topping the table of countries searching forflights to the UK since the wedding was announced.

In the original research, which the flight comparison site carried out last month, Germany came in third behind the United States in second place and the Netherlands in first place. The Netherlands has now dropped off the list of top ten countries searching for air travel to the UK for the ceremony.

Royal Wedding fever has stretched Down Under this month, with Australia currently second in the top ten.  Even France, a famously anti-royal realm that showed no previous interest in the wedding, now wants to say ‘I do’.  The country is presently in sixth position after not even making the top ten last month.

The current top ten countries who demonstrated the greatest increase in searches for flights to the UK for the week of 23-29 April 2011 are:

1. Germany
2. Australia
3. US
4. Poland
5. Turkey
6. Portugal
7. France
8. Italy
9. Greece
10. Spain
