Take a virtual tour on your iPhone or download the app!

This summer the HOFBURG Vienna unveiled the interactive tour feature on its website, and today it is celebrating another innovative milestone with a virtual tour for the iPhone, also available as an app.

Until now 360° panoramic shots – such as those used in the virtual tour – have always been produced in Flash format, which is incompatible with Apple products. But now the HOFBURG Vienna and the experts at the Centre for Virtual Reality and Visualisation Research have developed a version for the iPhone and iPad. This innovation, based on html5 programming, is currently unavailable anywhere else in the world. A collection of more than 50 indoor and outdoor panorama shots now give Apple users a virtual insight into the conference and event centre.

Users can move through the virtual world in three dimensions, gathering a true-to-life impression of the state rooms and contemporary glass and steel constructions. The new tool has been particularly well received by customers looking to plan events and take virtual tours of the facilities. And thanks to the new app the full Hofburg experience is now also available offline on your smartphone!
