Zanine Adams, Visit London’s Head of Event Solutions and UK Sales has been ranked third place in Conference and Incentive Travel Magazine’s annual Power 50 Index, unveiled last night at the Century Club in London.

Nominated and voted for by readers of C&IT magazine, the influence index ranks the UK events industry’s most powerful players.

Adams has this year achieved Visit London’s highest ever ranking, following her placement at 44 in 2008 and her rise to 12th place in 2009.

She commented on the results; ‘It’s been a very exciting year for London as we continue to gear up to host the Olympic & Paralympic Games in 2012. I am absolutely thrilled to have been voted in amongst my fellow industry peers following the hard work of all the team here at Visit London.’

The 2010 rankings included a total of 17 new entries, with Zibrant’s managing director for sales and marketing Fay Sharpe topping the list and Expotel’s chief executive Ian Burnley in second place.
