Thomas Cook launches complete Summer 2012 portfolio at once

PETERBOROUGH, UNITED KINGDOM–(Marketwire – May 12, 2011) – With the summer holidaysfast approaching, Thomas Cook UK & Ireland are already looking ahead to next year, and have launched their Summer 2012 brochures. This is the first time Thomas Cook has issued its full range at one time making this its biggest ever launch.

No longer is the focus on just one Summer Sun brochure – but with a range of 18 publications, Thomas Cook has changed its brochure portfolio to now have three clear focus areas – The Style Collection,Lifestyle and Destinational – enabling agents and customers alike to find the right holiday as quickly as possible.

Richard Calvert, Thomas Cook UK & Ireland managing director, UK Mainstream tour operations said, “We’ve worked hard to understand exactly what makes holidaymakers tick when it comes to choosing their important summer holiday and what they want from our brochures. The results of this are not only reflected in the different types of holidays on offer, but the way they are presented in our brochure portfolio.

“For the first time we’re launching our complete Summer 2012 range on a single day and we’re sure agents and customers will be as excited as we are about what’s in store for next year. There is still demand for early bookings as holidaymakers look to guarantee their dream holiday, either at a specific hotel or resort, or a certain type of holiday.”

Each brochure will highlight the unique aspects of every country with a wide selection of properties from across the whole programme including the key differentiated products such as Aquamania, FamilyWORLD, KidsWORLD and the Style Collection.

All Summer 2012 brochures will continue to run the ‘More 4 You’ promotion that offers 3 for 2 on holiday extras such as extra luggage and in-flight meals. For example, customers who buy ‘Choose Your Seat’ and take 5kg of extra luggage will receive in-flight meals absolutely free – a saving of over £35 for a family of four.

Other brochures to go on sale include Airtours Families, Airtours Summer Fun and Airtours All inclusive, and value-for-money brand Sunset. There is also one new brochure for Manos which goes back to its roots for summer 2012 holidays and is firmly positioned as the authentic Greek specialist.
