FCB AS A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR THE CONGRESSUAL DEVELOPMENT OF VENETO

The activity was showed in Vicenza in the presence of tour operators and regional institutions

It was held on May 27th at Villa Cordellina Lombardi, Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza) the seminar “Convention Bureau. Sviluppo del Congressuale Veneto”, with the participation of the Firenze Convention Bureau as a “case study” to show its activities to institutions and tour operators of the Veneto Region. The FCB Director Carlotta Ferrari explained mission, organization and services of the consortium to the participants. The meeting was organized by the Centro Estero Veneto, which is composed by the Chambers of Commerce of Veneto and Vicenza È Convention Bureau, under the will of the Veneto Region to create and develop regional operators for business tourism.

The activity of the FCB has been explained through a presentation summary about services and initiatives of the consortium in the last period, finding a strong favour among the operators who have largely praised the activity. The work of the FCB was considered an example of good management of a Convention Bureau. The Veneto institution gave also a symbolic gift to the Director Ferrari.

The meeting was attended by Marino Finozzi, Regional Councillor for Tourism and Foreign Trade of the Veneto Region, Marisa Sartori from Sistema Congressi Srl, Vladimiro Riva from Vicenza È Convention Bureau and Claudio De Donatis, Integrated Tourism Promotion Department.
