London Museum’s Art Gallery to Re-open

The Royal Air Force Museum London is proud to announce the re-opening of its Art Gallery to the public on Friday 10th of June with the unveiling of a signature exhibition of portraits by renowned wartime artist Eric Kennington. This exhibition, ‘The Face of Courage’, has been guest curated by Jonathan Black the Senior Research Fellow in History of Art at Kingston University.

The exhibition will present about three dozen works covering all of the Armed Services, the Auxiliary Services and London Transport and some notable civilians. Pictures have been loaned to the show by the National Portrait Gallery, the Imperial War Museum, the National Army Museum, the Tate, the National Maritime Museum, the Ministry of Defence as well as from the Kennington family and other private lenders and art dealers
