DAVID Lloyd Leisure, the health, fitness and leisure group of clubs, is now recruiting for its new facility in Farnham, which is due to open early December.

There are between 60 and 70 jobs on offer at the £12m complex, which is being built next to the new Farnham Rugby Club site in Monkton Lane.

Vacancies include a junior management team – including a lead coach and club support manager – gym instructors and personal trainers, front of house, food and beverage and spa teams, and cleaning staff.

Farnham general manager Linden Henson says: “We have already recruited our senior management team and are now looking to fill a further 60 to 70 posts.

“I would urge potential candidates to keep an eye out for opportunities, which will appear on our website careers portal at http://www.davidlloyd.co.uk. I’m particularly keen to recruit from the surrounding area because it’s very important to us that we are a key part of the local community.”

The new 6,000-plus sqm club will feature the largest spa of any David Lloyd Leisure club, a plethora of sporting and fitness facilities, and a DL Kids dedicated area for children and families.

The 1,200 sqm Amida Spa will comprise six treatment rooms, three indoor saunas, two steam rooms, a salt room, footbaths, heated benches, an ice experience, and plunge and relax pools. Outdoor facilities include a spa, hydrotherapy pool and two saunas.

With eight outdoor tennis courts, the Farnham club will provide some of the best tennis facilities in the region. The Tennis All Stars programme, accredited by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), will be available to children aged 3-11, while adults at all levels will be offered instruction by a dedicated team of LTA-qualified coaches.

The multi-purpose sports hall, housing three badminton courts, will enhance the racquets offering along with two squash courts. An onsite physiotherapist and osteopathy clinic will add to the comprehensive facilities and services, ensuring that every sporting need is met.

Furthermore, the complex will boast a 25m indoor swimming pool and separate children’s pool. DLL’s Swim All Stars quality swimming programme – endorsed by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and undertaken by ASA-qualified coaches – will be available for all abilities, from absolute beginners to rising stars.

Children and families will be catered for with the new 500 sqm DL Kids facility onsite, featuring family lounge areas in which to relax, and a wide range of activity and holiday programmes on offer.

Another key attraction will be the 1,400 sqm gymnasium, providing the latest fitness products such as assisted resistance and cardiovascular equipment, free weights and Power Plates. There will be two exercise studios, hosting a variety of classes, and a specially designated room for the popular class, spinning.

Members and families will be able to relax and socialise in a DL Cafébar, offering an enticing menu of delicious, healthy and nutritionally-balanced meals for those who have worked up an appetite.
