ECB member Sokos Hotel Viru has received an award in recognition of its role as a Silver Sponsor of the Tallinn Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The honour was given by the foundation’s patron, Estonia’s first lady Mrs. Evelin Ilves.

Over the course of a year, the hotel’s conference centre, along with its clients, has donated more than €8,000 to the foundation. The Sokos Viru makes a donation for every conference participant its hosts, thereby ensuring that each visitor plays a role in taking care of the country’s children.

This year the hotel is also cooperating closely with the Tallinn 2011 European Capital of Culture foundation and offering special ECOC packages to guests.
