eight inaugural business events in Melbourne, and welcomed the new ambassadors.

The 16 new ambassadors are influential Melburnians and industry leaders from various fields including design, academia, science, law and medicine.

Commending the programs success the Governor of Victoria, the Hon. AlexChernov, AO, QC and Club Melbourne’s patron in chief said: “Now with 134 ambassadors the program has been involved in securing 47 of the 108
international business events for the convention centre, an outstanding achievement”.

Almost 300 guests dined on MCEC’s ‘Taste of Victoria’ menu which showcases various regional produce and wine from across the state.

Guests were entertained by Australia’s only ‘Unusualist’ Raymond Crowe, Melbourne’s leading contemporary jazz ensemble the Arielle Jazz Trio and artist in residence Samantha Lord who painted a Melbourne by night
landscape live.

The Club Melbourne Ambassador Program is a collaborative strategy supported by the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau, the MCEC and the State Government of Victoria.
