NT MUSTERS FOR MEETINGS WITH THE MARKET

The Darwin Convention Centre will join the Northern Territory Convention Bureau (NTCB) in mustering its top meeting and event suppliers on an extensive road trip when it launches the inaugural NT Meetings Muster ‘11.

To be conducted progressively from 17-21 October through Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, NT Meetings Muster ‘11 will reveal the reasons why the NT offers such great opportunities for the staging of conferences, incentives, meetings, exhibitions or product launches. This event replaces the previous NT road-show event known as Conventions on Tour.

Guests will be invited to discover, connect and be inspired as they meet with suppliers from throughout the NT. The event is open to attendance by Professional Conference Organisers, Destination Management Companies, event planners, in-house meeting organisers, associations and corporate decision makers in each city. All guests attending will have the chance to win some fantastic door prizes plus be entered in the draw to win a trip for two to the NT.

The twelve exhibitors include convention centres, accommodation suppliers and specialist services, cultural and activity operators, off-site venues, destination management services, the providers of Australia’s most unique railway journey plus the convention bureau team.

Well-known “adopted son” of the NT, Monte Dwyer, wacky ex-weatherman turned travelling author, videographer, musician and all-round good bloke, will be on hand to talk about “his” Northern Territory and provide some insights into why he believes the NT is a “must-do” destination.

Malu Barrios, General Manager said “We believe that the new format being implemented by the NTCB will serve to bring the NT so much closer to planners. They will not only discover more about our products and services but will also learn how the NT can enhance the bottom line of their event. Strong destination appeal, access to a range of thriving NT industry and business strengths plus some wonderful CSR activities that give back to local communities and the environment are just a few of the great assets in our portfolio”.
