  • Ten RIU properties distributed in Mexico, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic received a 2011 Golden Apple Award

During the 2011 Golden Apple Awards ceremony, Apple Vacations honored the Riu Palace Riviera Maya with the 2011 Crystal Apple Award for “Best Staff & Service Mexico”, and ten RIU properties distributed between Mexico and the Caribbean received the 2011 Golden Apple Award.

The Golden Apple Awards and the Crystal Apple Awards are one of the most coveted honors in the travel industry that recognizes hoteliers, as these are chosen by hundreds of thousands of Apple Vacationers who complete the Clients Satisfaction Questionnaires. Clients rate overall staff and service, food quality, amenities, public areas, beach and entertainment.

The highest rated hotels are honored with a Golden Apple Award and the Crystal Apple Award represents the “Best of the Best”, the most competitive and honorable award given by Apple Vacations.

The Riu Palace Riviera Maya hotel, located in the Mexican destination of the Riviera Maya, is the Spanish chain’s 6th 24-Hour All-Inclusive property in the destination and belongs to RIU’s most luxurious product line. “This award honors the team members of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya and represents the hard work from our staff. It is also a sign of the good acceptance that the hotel has amongst our clients and partners in the United States” stated Mr. Kluth.
