TURESPAÑA APPOINTS ENRIQUE RUIZ DE LERA AS DIRECTOR OF THE SPANISH TOURIST OFFICE IN LONDON

TurEspaña appoints Enrique Ruiz de Lera as Director of the Spanish Tourist Office in London. Ruiz De Lera’s predecessor Ignacio Vasallo leaves his post at the end of the month to become Director of the Spanish Tourist Office in Paris after a seven year tenure in London.

Ruiz de Lera joins the Spanish Tourist Office in London bringing with him over 13 years of senior marketing experience within TurEspaña, including nine years of international experience working across three continents (Europe, South America and Asia).

Ruiz De Lera who speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, German and French, leaves his most recent post as Marketing Director of TurEspaña in Madrid where he successfully developed and implemented the global ‘I Need Spain’ marketing and branding strategy as well as TurEspaña’s social media campaigns including ‘Spain a Country to Share’ and ‘Spain, Keep Sharing’. Previous to this, Ruiz de Lera worked as the Marketing Director of the Spanish Tourist Office in Singapore from 2005 to 2009, looking after the Asia and Australasian tourism market to Spain with previous posts in Brazil (2001 to 2005) and Germany (1998 to 2001).

Ruiz de Lera will join current Director Ignacio Vasallo at World Travel Market in London which takes place from 7th to 10th November.
