ADTA scoops two 2011 World Travel Awards

ADTA has scooped two 2011 World Travel Awards – the World’s Responsible Tourism Award and World’s Leading Destination Marketing Campaign, where it beat off shortlisted competition from India and Spain.

The awards were presented in a Gala Dinner in Doha where Abu Dhabi was prominent in the winners’ line-up. Other stakeholder wins included Jumeirah at Etihad Towers being named the ‘World’s Leading New Hotel’; Emirates Palace winning both the 2011 ‘World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Hotel’ and the ‘World’s Leading Presidential Suite’; ADNEC took the ‘World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre’; the Royal Jet Group taking the ‘World’s Leading Private Jet Charter’ and Etihad Airways picking up three awards – the 2011 World’s Leading Airline, 2011 World’s Leading Airline First Class and 2011 World’s Leading Airline to the Middle East.
