The tour has commenced in the Fair’s business area at 11.30 am at the North Gate

Don Felipe de Borbón and Doña Letizia Ortiz, the Prince and Princess of Asturias, have been entrusted with inaugurating the next edition of FITUR. The opening ceremony has taken place on 18th January at 11.00 am. On this occasion, the royal couple has commenced their tour in the business area at the Fair. In this respect, Their Royal Highnesses have been introduced to the latest new features presented by the exhibitors at FITUR, together with the latest trends within the industry.

Once again on this occasion, the Spanish Royal Family has shown its unconditional support for the tourist industry, for tourism professionals and for FITUR itself by attending this edition.

Following the initial inauguration of FITUR, the fair will promote trade activity among professionals up until 20th January. The fair will then open to the general public on the weekend of Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd January so that they discover the latest ideas from the participating destinations and companies and plan their next holiday.
