During the last weekend of August, the annual “Kurzeme Rally” will be held near Liepaja (southwestern Latvia), which is the oldest rally competition in Latvia. Over the years, the “Kurzeme Rally” has served as a stage in several different national rally championships, including the Russian, Lithuanian, Estonian and Latvian national rallies, as well as the European Championships.
On August 24 and 25, the Liepaja “Rokkafejnica” (Rock Café) will host the rally’s opening and closing parties, with various musicians performing on both nights.
As in previous years, not only will Latvia’s top rally drivers be competing at this year’s event, but also some of the best rally drivers from neighboring countries and beyond.
Last year, the “Kurzeme Rally” gathered over 120 competing vehicles, 1,000 athletes and 45,000 spectators.
