With half term fast approaching, parents up and down the country might be looking forward to a much needed get-away – and what better way to enjoy an autumn break than by bagging one of the many cheap holidays  Thomas Cook has to offer.

World Smile Day takes place every October and new figures show that parents can expect to put a smile on their children’s faces this month as some of the most popular family holiday destinations are much cheaper this half term compared to 2011.

The research from M&S Bank shows that seven in ten popular foreign holiday destinations are less expensive this October half term than they were a year ago.

Adults are now paying an average of £30 less and this is largely down to a favourable exchange rate.

The study found that Greece is the most affordable destination costing an average of £662 per adult for one week, saving a massive £59 per person on last year’s prices.

If you’re looking for some great holiday deals this half term or even into next year, here are just a few destinations which will put a smile on your face and your wallet.
