Sebastian Ebel (49) will return to TUI AG on 1 February 2013. Taking on the newly created post of Operating Performance Director he will report directly to Friedrich Joussen, the designated TUI AG Chief Executive. Between 1999 and 2006 Ebel previously held various management posts in the TUI Group, his last appointment as a member of the executive board with responsibility for Controlling, IT, Purchasing, Business Travel, Hotels and Incoming Agencies.

“I am very happy that we have managed to acquire the services of Sebastian Ebel, a proven expert of the travel industry and the TUI Group in particular. His financial financial and controlling background combines well with his operational know-how of the hotel, airline and incoming segments,” said Friedrich Joussen.

In his move to TUI, Sebastian Ebel will vacate his position of Chief Financial Officer at Vodafone Deutschland, where he currently heads the financial division of the communications company. Prior to joining Vodafone, the graduate in business administration was with the A.T.U. Group, initially as Chief Financial Officer – and later as Chief Operating Officer – heading Purchasing, Sales, Logistics and IT.
