Nigel Brown Joins GainingEdge as Project Manager

GainingEdge has expanded its Asian team with the appointment of Nigel Brown effective 1 Jan 2013.

Nigel started his career at the head office of the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA) in Amsterdam. He was part of the event organizing team of the association and served 7 years organizing a host of events on all continents. During his tenure he gained extensive project management skills and was responsible for implementing new technologies at ICCA events.

Prior to joining GainingEdge Nigel worked as Project Manager for Singex Exhibition Ventures, the event organizing arm of the Singapore EXPO.

Nigel holds a Bachelor of Hotel Administration, Bachelor of European Hospitality Management from the Hotelschool The Hague and a culinary diploma from the Amsterdam College of Hotel and Gastronomy.

In addition, GainingEdge also has consultants and associates in Paris, Phoenix, Pittsburg and Porto Alegre.

GainingEdge recently had its professional management contract with BestCities Global Alliance extended for a further 4 years up to 2015. It also secured a commission with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Republic of Indonesia to write the country’s national business events strategy, which will be launched officially in early 2013.
