London racecourses confirm first live music event of 2013 at Sandown Park

UB40 perform at Children's Trust Music NightFollowing their show-stopping performance atop Buckingham Palace at HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, Madness is the first act to be confirmed in the London Racecourses’ diary of live music and racing events for 2013 at Sandown Park Racecourse.

Taking place at the Surrey venue on Wednesday 17th July 2013, Madness will take to the stage for a 90-minute live performance immediately after the last race. This format of music and flat racing allows both horse racing aficionados and music fans the opportunity to enjoy a night at one of the south of England’s premier sporting and events venues.

Part of the Jockey Club Venues collection of racecourses, which numbers 15 in total, Sandown Park is renowned for attracting musical talent which reflects the venue’s ethos and appeals to a range of demographics; with their reputation for high energy live shows and their love of British tradition, Madness is a fitting match for Sandown Park Racecourse.

Since 2006, Sandown Park Racecourse has welcomed some world-class music acts through its gates to perform live at the venue. Throughout the summer of 2012, the racecourse played host to a plethora of musical talent which included Jessie J and Tom Jones, whilst past performances featured UB40, Girls Aloud, Simply Red and the Pussycat Dolls.

They are one of the most popular bands in the UK and following their huge impact on the British public last year, we look forward to another fantastic night of fun.”

Adult general admission tickets booked in advance are £37 (incl. VAT); £20 for children aged between 5-17 years old, and children aged 0-4 years enter for free. Hospitality starts from £105 + VAT per person, with a variety of restaurants and private suites to choose from.
