GBTA European Conference To Be Held in Germany in 2014

Prague, Czech Republic —The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)—the voice of the global business travel industry— today announced a strategic partnership with the German business travel association, Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement (VDR), to host the GBTA European conference in Germany in the Autumn of 2014.

The partnership between the two associations will combine VDR’s annual autumn event with the GBTA Europe Conference in 2014, expanding delegate numbers to create the largest European event of its kind.  The event will feature a dedicated German-speaking stream, a larger exhibition floor and simultaneous translation.

Talking about the enhancement to the existing partnership between GBTA and VDR, Michael W McCormick, Executive Director and COO of GBTA said, “With Germany emerging through the recession as the economic powerhouse of Europe, it is a great opportunity for both associations to unite and build on the success of GBTA in Europe and the success of the German economy and its business travel market.”
