comwell-aarhus-hotelPopular hotel chain Comwell in Denmark is launching its 16th hotel in Aarhus in 2014. The new 4-star hotel Comwell Aarhus will be the city’ largest with 240 rooms, state-of-the-art conference facilities with a capacity of up to 500 persons, and two restaurants.

The new sleek building with its 23 floors, of which Comwell Aarhus occupies the first 12 floors, is characterized by two towers connected by a glass building and designed in a simple ‘trademark’ Scandinavian style.

In addition to becoming the tallest building in Aarhus, surpassed only by Aarhus Cathedral, the new construction will also set its mark as the first commercial building in Aarhus that meets the criteria of Energy Class 1. Hence, the building has solar panels built in to its south façade and rooftop, which supply electricity to the whole structure.

The striking sustainable hotel and conference venue is located in Værkmestergade in central  Aarhus and is expected to open its doors to the public in summer 2014.
