Madinat Jumeirah appoints new Director of Marketing and CommunicationsJumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced Sandra Farrero as the new Director of Marketing and Communications at Madinat Jumeirah, effective Sunday, 17 August 2014.

Sandra joined Jumeirah three years ago in June 2011 to co-lead the pre-opening and launch phase of Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa in Mallorca. During this period and under Sandra’s commercial leadership, the team positioned the property among the top luxury hospitality leaders in Mallorca and secured the acceptance in American Express’ prestigious Fine Hotels & Resorts programme.

Sandra has worked across a diverse portfolio of luxury hotels in Spain and England and joins Madinat Jumeirah with a strong track record, international academic background and a deep and practical understanding of the Jumeirah STAY DIFFERENT™ brand promise.

Working with Daniel Weihrauch, Director of Sales and Marketing, Madinat Jumeirah, one of Sandra’s core responsibilities will be to lead and further develop the resort’s dynamic Marketing and Communications team across PR, Marketing and Partnership Development.

Other focus areas will be the launch and positioning of the new room products at Mina A’Salam and Dar Al Masyaf in line with Madinat Jumeirah’s 10th anniversary. From 2015 onwards, the pre-opening phase of Madinat Jumeirah’s expansion will become a crucial aspect of her role combined with an increased focus on the resort’s digital strategy and brand development.
